"Empty Road"

Empty Road is a song that started our completely different, and ended up undergoing a full re-write when originally composed in 2005. In the beginning there are a series of atmosphere-inducing sound effects because it was meant to be the first song of the Kokiri album, which was largely a 'concept album' that told a story from start to finish.

"Empty Road" was intended to be SONG 1 of the original album now named:
"The Kokiri Project - Dare the Oblivion"


The Lyrics:

A lonely soul
on an empty road
I'm rollin on
Hoping to find
where we lost the way
I can't let go of yesterday
While the shadows hold me back

Closing in
On a raging storm
The love and the lies and the pain in your eyes
Is haunting me now
But we couldn't stay
Our burning hearts on those November days
And so I ride along alone

An empty road...

Is this a dream?
Where we lost it all?
And will I find the end before I take the fall?
Or will I find myself along

An empty road?
