"Nameless" was one of my first songs recorded, and one of the two songs (the other being "Brighter Day") made before I was capable of recording a drum track other than the canned drums available on the Digitech GNX-4. The main rhythm guitar is made with an echo effect with a multi-millisecond delay equivalent of the speed of the tempo, so every strum was mirrored, giving it that strange, muddy effect. Looking back now, on Nameless, I realize that this is the one song in the Kokiri album that does not match the theme of the 'concept album', so when I finally develop the album at professional capacity, Nameless may be omitted from the album and moved to be somewhere else. "Nameless" was intended to be SONG 5 of the original album now named: "The Kokiri Project - Dare the Oblivion" |
Like a ghost I move from life to life To find myself And lose myself Moment to moment Full of anger and aimless drive I lament The passing without lasting On the shores of everyone else's lives I'll find something out there someday And when I find it, I'll find my way Full of desire I search for that rousing fire Until then I go on Nameless Who am I? Like the wind on a dreary day A restless heart A soul apart Birth unto death Born from the ashes of the times before I die With broken dreams and dead inside As those around me pass me by I'll find something out there someday And when I find it, I'll find my way Full of desire I search for that rousing fire I'm out there somewhere Until then I go on Nameless Nameless |
