Wrote this one in the middle of 2013, inspired by a new romance, which delves into 'exotic' music, influenced by her love of non-western cultures. Featuring the guitar only as a minor character, "Waiting Here for You" relies more heavily on creative percussion, an unlikely synthetic bassline, and features one of my favorite 'bridge' sections of all of my songs. My muse for this song is very into the artwork of Alex Grey, so the music video features a lot of his paintings. To date, this is probably my most complex 'music video', and took quite a bit of work to put together. This song is not attached to any particular album at this time. |
